Solène Sellier is the founder of SEKANO. Graduated in architecture in 2015 in Lyon, she then followed a specialization in town planning in 2016. She also obtained the Accreditation for Project Management in Own Name (HMONP) in 2017.

Her years of training took her to Paris, where she worked in several architectural agencies, mainly in the field of the public market: nurseries, neighborhood houses, social housing, offices. After six rewarding years, she felt the need to get closer to her customers. She then chose to turn to the private sector.

Solène today focuses on the rehabilitation of apartments, the restructuring and extension of houses, as well as the transformation and restructuring of professional offices.

Her objective: sustainable architecture. She favors rehabilitation to limit the use of new materials and reduce carbon emissions. She integrates biosourced materials, renewable energies and reuse in each of its projects. Her approach is part of a constant search for ecology and sustainability.

Promoting what already exists is a challenge that she particularly appreciates: transforming an already existing building means seizing the opportunity to enhance unique elements. A stone wall steeped in history, a distinctive volume, an exceptional location: each characteristic becomes an essential basis for the future project.

Solène is also interested in new construction, where ecology is central from the first stages. Every detail is taken into account: orientation of the building, choice of equipment, use of ecological materials. Everything is designed to create sustainable and long-lasting spaces.

Within Atelier SEKANO, Solène supports individuals and professionals. Whether it is their living space or their offices, her goal is to create spaces that reflect them. She firmly believes in the importance of an open and constant dialogue with her clients. Each project begins by carefully listening to their expectations, needs and aspirations. Whether for a house, an apartment or offices, the Atelier works hard to translate their wishes into a tailor-made architectural project.

Each client is unique, and each project must be just as unique.

Working hand in hand with her clients, Solène Sellier places people at the center of her creative process. Her collaborative approach allows us to design spaces that are not only functional and aesthetic, but also embody the vision and values of those who occupy them.
