Awareness of the preservation and promotion of Thomas Boutefeu's built heritage arises from an initial professional practice within the group of Lyon architects Fleurent-Valette-Rivière. This collaboration was an opportunity for him to be confronted with delicate, but nevertheless stimulating, contexts: restoration of buildings in protected areas or sensitive urban areas, participation in pilot projects in energy renovation, followed by construction sites in occupied site, etc.
To complete this approach, Thomas Boutefeu participated from 2017 to 2022 in the advisory mission to the CAUE Rhône Métropole. His intervention aimed to raise co-owners' awareness of the architectural value of their building while encouraging them to join the Ecoreno'v energy renovation platform (a system created by the Lyon metropolitan area in 2015 to advise and help finance eco-friendly projects). renovation of private housing stock).
The agency also mobilizes its architectural skills to support individuals in their project to build, extend or renovate their property. Depending on the requests received, the support will take varied forms: from simple architectural advice (joint definition of needs, reflection on the optimization of existing spaces, choice of relevant technical solutions) to complete management of a construction operation or renovation (with the organization and verification of the proper execution of the work).
Thomas Boutefeu, architect, is also a member of GIE 8.21. It is a collaborative group of architects which brings together the following skills: architecture, town planning, restoration of old built heritage and graphic design activities. This association aims to free itself from a “lonely” exercise in architecture and to increase synergy between colleagues (decision support, knowledge sharing, one-off associations on operations, etc.).
