Julia Coquelle earned her qualification as an architect and project manager (HMONP) from the National Architecture School of Versailles. She honed her skills by pursuing studies in landscape architecture at the Escuela Politécnica de Barcelona and at the National School of Landscape Architecture in Versailles.
This background allowed her to develop an architectural approach firmly concerned with the integration of buildings into their historical, landscape and social context, with a heightened interest in the local savoir-faire that goes into the act of building.
After working for architectural firms on diverse projects, from residential developments and houses to public and commercial buildings, as well as interior architecture and urban development projects, in 2020 Julia Coquelle decided to found her practice Pangée Architecture.
Pangée Architecture places today’s environmental concerns at the heart of its considerations, devoting particular attention to thermal renovation as well as energy efficiency and economising materials. Pragmatism, the quality of both design and execution, as well as responsiveness and professionalism are at the core of the studio’s daily commitment to their clients.
