Alexandre Train has been a DPLG qualified architect since 2002. The architect has brought together all of his experience from working as part of other architecture studios. In 2012, after 10 years working for other people, he decided to found his own studio under the name of Platypus Architecture in Montreuil.
He was driven to create his own studio came from a desire to work for himself and to be able to take on the projects he wanted to and to have more freedom in meeting the needs of his clients. His clients can benefit from his expertise to have a tailor-made living space.
Always listening to his clients and always open to suggestions, he takes the desires and requests of his clients into account while walking them through solving the issues that arise at different stages of the project. Open to all, the studio responds to multiple types of proposal. Thus, his work brings him to both commercial and private projects.
From home extension to wooden constructions, as well as office design, without forgetting renovations, restorations and interior transformations, the architect can appreciate the diversity of different types of project. Recently, the architect has worked on two total transformation projects in Parisian apartments, involving merging two apartments on two floors to create a large duplex.
With many years of experience in the region behind him, Alexandre Train has built a wide network of contacts in all the industries which are related to construction.
With the goal of destroying as little as possible, the architect looks to renovate and transform as much as possible to give new lease of life to these spaces. A philanthropist and polyglot, Alexandre Train enjoys liaising with his clients and works on the national and international level.
A true specialist in design, Alexandre Train was chosen to become design expert on behalf of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development during the summit between Africa and France in Bamako, as well as the Cop 21 in 2015 in Bourget.
