Graduated from the École Supérieure d’Art et Design de Reims in 2013, then from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Strasbourg in 2017, Thomas Kern has developed dual skills as an architect and designer. His diverse academic background has allowed him to acquire solid training, both technical and artistic, which is reflected in all of his achievements.
His professional career truly began within the Atelier Tardy et Associés agency, where he completed a student internship which marked the beginning of a very formative experience. Under the direction of Olivier Tardy, Thomas Kern was able to refine his view of architecture, cultivating a keen sense of high standards and great attention to detail. This immersion in a rigorous and collaborative environment allowed him to develop valuable skills, while cultivating a generous and committed approach to the architectural project.
In November 2019, he reached a key milestone in his career by obtaining the Accreditation for Project Management in Own Name (HMONP), which allows him to fully practice as an architect. This accreditation represents not only recognition of one's expertise, but also a decisive step towards professional independence. A few months later, in June 2020, Thomas Kern registered with the Order of Architects and officially launched his activity as an architect-designer in Besançon.
With a multidisciplinary approach, he continues his exploration of the synergies between art, design, graphics and architecture. Whether in his own projects or through various collaborations, Thomas Kern strives to cross these disciplines to enrich his creations. His practice is distinguished by a constant desire to break down the boundaries between these fields, thus making it possible to design projects that are both functional and aesthetically striking.
By combining these different influences, he continues to carry out projects that embody a contemporary and innovative vision of architecture and design while attaching central importance to the quality of the relationships maintained with all the project's stakeholders. .
