Founded in Paris, the studio BOM Architecture was born of a passion for architecture and a vision that combines design, theory and experimentation. The studio’s focus is positioned around projects of various scales, but always with the desire to design rich and inventive architecture while upholding their convictions.
BOM Architecture has earned distinction on numerous occasions, notably through awards and exhibitions at the Triennale di Milano in 2015, the Arab World Institute in 2013, the 13th Venice Biennale of Architecture “Common Ground” exhibition in 2002 as well as the 14th exhibition, “Fundamentals”. The studio was also selected as winner of the FADA award for its design of a housing structure.
BOM Architecture strives to promote environmental values and apply a sustainable approach to its work. Convinced that it must originate through collective, rhizomatic and multidisciplinary action, the architects develop new work methodologies that draw on participative innovation and pooling services and energies as the fundamentals of building sustainable cities. Their commitment to developing all of their projects through an environmentally-focused approach was recognised with the Swiss Holcim Award for sustainable development in 2014.
More recently, in 2018, BOM Architecture was furthermore selected as the winner of the prestigious EDF Bas Carbone Award. Their dedication to building the cities of tomorrow represents a strong commitment to the pursuit of an ideal for the future and for each one of us.
